Courtney Sale Ross

Courtney Sale Ross, wife of Time Warner founder Steve Ross, is a champion for education and its advancement and improvement.

Courtney Ross heads three academic institutes – the Ross School, the Ross Global Academy, and the Ross Institute for Advanced Study and Innovation in Education. The Ross School, which was built in 1991, supports and provides quality education for children from kindergarten to Grade 12. The two-campus institutions are built within the surroundings of East Hampton and Bridgehampton. The Ross Institute strives to instill into its students the possible implications of globalization towards public college education. The Ross Institute also offers professional development for schools who want to implement the Ross Model.

A staunch supporter of charter school education reform, Courtney Sale Ross built the Ross Global Academy to act as a public charter college. The Ross Global Academy’s education system is strongly rooted in the Ross model, giving students academic learning that provides an outlook on globalization.

Aside from managing her institutions, Courtney Ross also endows financial and other forms of aid to established institutions of higher learning like Harvard University, New York University, the University of Southern California and Skidmore College. Courtney Sale Ross also provides education opportunities for women from the minority through scholarships from the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
