Toyota: On with Education
A company to be truly successful world-wide needs to have a strong commitment to quality standards, ingenious business ideas, and a will to give and help the communities around them. Through it all, success still depends on how seriously a company takes its corporate social responsibility. Toyota is one of the companies that have been able to do all three.
Toyota Motors Corporation is a multi-national company headquartered in Japan and is the world’s largest auto-maker. The company has been actively penetrating international markets. While US-based automakers are crumbling under the weight of the economic crunch, Toyota is one of the multi-national companies that have stood its ground. The company is also involved in financial services through its Toyota Financial Services division and also develops robotics technology.
Toyota, besides handling its business side of things, is also greatly involved in giving back to the community. This year the company has donated funds to help financially challenged students who are pursuing college in this economic crunch. In California, Toyota has donated $1 million worth of scholarships for 100 students in the area. These are chosen based on their academic excellence and involvement in the community.
Toyota USA is also a proud partner of the non-profit organization TELACU Education Foundation. This partnership is a vital part of Toyota’s commitment to community, diversity, education, environmental programs, and safety. The scholarships that Toyota provides are aimed at helping 25 Latino undergraduate students at public and private colleges and universities, also in California.
At Toyota, the commitment to supporting programs that offer education and training to help improve people’s lives is one of the foremost mission sought by the company. Toyota continues to help develop communities for the betterment not only of the community but also of the company as well.
